JagerCon Screens The Hunger

When it comes to sexy vampire flicks there’s really only one film that embraces the goth subculture in both a strangely classy and dark bizarro fashion – The Hunger. Starring a very stylish, androgynous cast of weird-looking hotties – Susan Sarandon, Catherine Deneuve and Bowie – and rolling opening creds to dark wave group, the Bauhaus’ “Bela Lugosi’s Dead,” the flick is a true cult classic. Tonight, join JagerCon’s Beth Hammarlund (l’étoile magazine, A Tiny Machine) and Kate Iverson (l’étoile magazine, Secrets of the City) for a screening of The Hunger complete with 2-4-1 drink specials and plenty of goth-related chatter. Although, not a sci-fi flick per se, the movie’s slow pace and trippy visuals makes it a perfect film to screen while drinking with your nerd pals. Plus, pick up your own limited-edition movie poster prints done by local screenprinters/designs, Who Made Who. And drop by

Jäger every Tuesday night as JagerCon screens another delicious sci-fi cult movie for nerds and norms alike.
