As I was waiting at a stoplight the other day, a 20-something threw down his long board and blasted his way across the crosswalk with impunity.  Fortunately no pedestrians were harmed, but I thought wow, that was hot. While yours truly will likely never achieve the ability to long board nor skateboard, many of you scenesters certainly will (and have been). Calsurf has some new Sector 9 long boards with art school infused designs.

Also, revive your appreciation for snow.  DC debuts its Ride Along Tour where you can ride with snowboard pros.  The tour ends its leg in Minnesota at Buck Hill on December 12 and Hyland Park the next day December 13.  While a more beautiful setting of Lutsen and Welch would impress the boarders, at least it shows them what an “urban ski hill” looks like.   Nothing like a little sports-celeb for the TC.  Snowboarder mag has a writeup.
