True to Form (Gigamesh Remix) – Lookbook “True to Form” Remix EP

While the good and band of 2009 will stay with us in 2010, we can be assured that music creativity will grow as exponentially as Apple tablets. NyteTraxx Records resident haunt Nyteowl (Jeremy Conlon) sent us their latest traxx right in time for New Years! Of course the record was suppose to arrive before the December 12 7th Street release show, but it has come in 2009, and that’s all that matters. Lookbook’s “True to Form” Remix EP features, yes, remixes of the hit song that drives people to pack First Avenue on any day of the night. The Heartbreak remix is an upbeat light ’80s rendition that keeps your ears dancing. We agree with l’etoile on King of Con: “Local producer Mux Mool adds a surprising trip-hop, R&B flavor on the moody “King of Con.” Lookbook’s popularity is soaring, even the Star Tribune posted the base track online. Our favorite was Gigamesh’s remix with its crescendo build up and faithful reinterpretation of the song with house beats.
